Phantom 2040 PART VII
Client: Hearst Animation Productions.
Art Director: Myself.
Project Date: Summer 1993.
In part VII of my work on the Phantom 2o4o Television animated series, I focus on Layout designs again here. All layouts followed the "Tall and Thin" design style of the show.
The three story Victorian mansion with a blasted out interior was a fun design as I used a fish-eye view with curvature as this was a vertical pan shot at 16FLD size. Lots of fun details inside the busted walls with lathe and plaster etc.
The detectives office pays homage to all the Detective serials of the 40's including the ceiling fan. I did this in a tall Arts and Crafts themes as I was just getting into the style back in the early 90's and wanted to put some in the show.
Also you see a Dorm building for Tran and Jenna in the series as well as a another tall office, this time with Art Nouveau themes.
