Project Review: Venetian Resort- Architectural Parts.

The Main Print Rendering done for the Octagon at the Palazzo in the Venetian Resort.

Some of the looped interlocking designs I did for Boarders.

Some Screen Details taken from the Architectural Design of the Palazzo.

The Details used on the main Icons for the 3D Illustrations.

Various Long Boarders used in the Venetian Octagon and other Print work Concepts.

I re-used the Architectural Parts as 3D Filigree on the Sherlock Holmes Magnifying Glass Handle.

Venetian Resort
Architectural Parts.

Client: The Venetian Resort Las Vegas via The Cimarron Group.
Art Director: Calvin Sumler.
Project Date: Winter 2007.

At The Cimarron Group I worked on various pitch packages and design work for a few Casinos in Las Vegas for the Corporate Division then run by Nigel Williams. I helped with a pitch for the Venetian Resort "Octagon" a shopping plaza within the main casino resort and we did both the Logo and Poster work, as well as some Architectural Rendering.

Above you will see a variety of Architectural parts that I built and rendered for various boarder and decoration for various graphics projects, as well as a sample above of where I re-used the architectural parts for detailed filigree on the Sherlock Holmes Magnifying Glass. Many 3D Artists use texture maps for these where I tend to build out all my details in 3D so this was a great use for these 3D deco trim pieces.

I also used the parts in the Octagon Image above with the doorway to the Venetian and the Palazzo.

Cheers, THOM
