Project Review: Green Hornet Logos

A 3D Logo with Volumetric Particle Lighting from behind.

In this Idea I did a flatter extrusion with wire-tube "echoes" behind it going back in space.

An extruded glass sweep followed this version of the logo.

This Logo design I did used glass curved down for the extrusion.

I had to get a similar look to what finished but with a little room for playing so I did this Metal version.

A multi-layer Hornet Mark with glowing glass layers sandwiched in between.

An extreme angle on the Mark with 3 layers.

A 3D version of a 2D Logo supplied to us from the Car from the film.

An early symmetrical concept for a Mark.

Green Hornet
Logos and Hornet Icon

Client: Columbia Pictures via The Cimarron Group.
Art Director: Calvin Sumler.
Project Date Fall 2010.

I had a chance to work on a few Logos, and Icon Ideas for the Theatrical Advertising pitches for the new Green Hornet film out today so I have posted variations on both the Logo and the Iconic Hornet.

It was a short and fast one day job to do a few variations as the Logo for Comic Con was already done from another agency so I did some modified all glass and various curved extrusion Logos as alternates.

I also designed out a few Hornet Icons in various angles for them as well. A fun project.

Cheers, THOM
